The CAOHC Certification course, approved by the
Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing
Conservation (CAOHC), is provided for nurses, physicians, medical
assistants, safety specialists, industrial hygienists, and other related professionals.
This course focus on the practical application of each
element of an effective Hearing Conservation Program.
Special emphasis is placed on federal & state
regulations, hearing testing, hearing loss,
hearing protection devices, STS, OSHA recordability and workers' compensation. A
supervised practicum will enable participants to gain
"hands-on" experience in proper technique in
administering case histories, otoscopic, and audiometric
evaluations.
A one-day
Recertification Course is offered on the second day of
each 2 1/2 day certification course.
A one day course designed for
physicians or the "professional supervisor" and other health
professionals. Case studies, clinical characteristics of specific hearing
losses, audiogram interpretation, STS, OSHA reportability,
work-relatedness and patient disposition will be discussed. Practical applications
will be emphasized with emphasis place on compliance with federal and

Customized classes for employees,
supervisors, and management are available and presented
by certified audiologists with extensive firsthand
experience in hearing conservation. This training will
satisfy OSHA requirements. Emphasis is placed on
motivating employees to comply to your program's
requirements and providing management the information it
needs to implement an effective Hearing Conservation
Program.

Cancellation
Policy No refund will be given, if notification of
cancellation is received less than 30 days prior to the course. Tuition,
less an administrative fee of $75.00, is refundable if notification of
cancellation is received more than 30 days prior to the course. All
courses are subject to cancellation without notice no later than one
week from the start date.
