Dr.
John Elmore is a board certified audiologist. He has over 37 years experience in hearing conservation, clinical Audiology,
research and development, workers' compensation, and occupational and
environmental health.
After
establishing a consulting practice in 1996, Precision Hearing has steadily grown
to become one of the most successful and widely respected practices of its kind
in the nation. Outstanding service
and products are now being provided to numerous clients coast to coast in such
fields as manufacturing and mining. The Council of Accreditation in Occupational
Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) has ranked Precision Hearing’s certification
training as the number one most frequently attended course in the nation. As a military audiologist,
Dr. Elmore
(Retired, LtCol, USAF) established the first, base-wide Army and Air Force
Hearing Conservation Programs. As Consultant to the Surgeon General, he was
responsible for overseeing the programs at 350 Air Force installations by
examining the hearing test results, patient referral rates, and clinical
disposition of over 250,000 exposed employees. He identified program
deficiencies, made appropriate recommendations, and provided on-site consultant
services.
As the chief of the Air Force's largest Audiology and Speech Pathology Clinic, Dr. Elmore provided the full range of audiological services to include physician, nurse, and technician training. He has lectured at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology and the National Science Academy in Washington D.C. He is frequently invited as a guest speaker and has served on the faculty of Our Lady of the Lake University’s Graduate School.
Dr. Elmore’s expert testimony has resulted in the successful legal defense of several noise-related issues. He has represented the United States as a member of the NATO committee on health effects from low altitude aircraft noise and has served on the Executive Boards of several national professional organizations.
